He's the little tortoise at the root of the whole Cottage Creek Garden world, the one from Moss Finds His Spot, and his story is the gentlest kind of true: belonging isn't a race, and the slow way there is still the right way. The circular frame holds the scene like a page from his story — unhurried, warm, exactly where it's meant to be.
For the older kids, it's done on a lighter, drapier blank. Extra-soft airlume combed and ring-spun cotton with a retail fit that hangs clean and modern, so the illustration stays the star.
